my testimony After confiscated my #camera and my right to transfer #theimage / #westernsahara

The video is testimony from Sahrawi journalist Nazha EL Khalidi, who describes her one night in jail when she was detained while covering the protest led by the Future Forum for Sahrawi Women at Foum el Oued beach on August 21. She says (in English) that she was beaten all over her body, including her face, where you can see a cut. She says that most of the women at the protest were detained, and that Sukaina Juk Alu, who led the protest, was beaten badly. She says that the Moroccan police confiscated her camera, but “I have my phone, I have my ipad, so I am not going to stop my work as a freelance journalist, as a volunteer journalist, in the occupied territory, which has suffered from a blackout of press.”
